Main Ingredients

Method

Scrambled Eggs

  1. 1

    Prepare the Eggs

Crack the eggs into a bowl and whisk them gently until the yolks and whites are fully combined. If desired, add salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Heat the Butter

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until it begins to foam but not brown.

  3. 3

    Cook the Eggs

Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet. Allow them to sit for a few moments until they start to set around the edges.

  4. 4

    Scramble

Using a spatula, gently stir the eggs, pushing them from the edges toward the center. Continue to cook until the eggs are softly set but still slightly runny.

  5. 5

    Finish and Serve

Remove from heat and let the residual heat finish cooking the eggs. Optionally, fold in chopped herbs or cheese before serving.

Fried Eggs

  1. 6

    Heat the Butter

In a non-stick skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat until it begins to bubble.

  2. 7

    Crack the Eggs

Carefully crack the eggs directly into the skillet, being careful not to break the yolks.

  3. 8

    Cook to Desired Doneness

For sunny-side up, cook until the whites are set but yolks remain runny, about 2-3 minutes. For over-easy, gently flip the eggs and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to set the yolks slightly.

  4. 9

    Season and Serve

Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately on a plate, optionally with fresh herbs or cheese.
