Chicken Marsala Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook Mushrooms

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic, sautéing until the mushrooms are browned and tender, about 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Add Marsala Wine

Pour in the Marsala wine and scrape the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce reduces slightly.

  5. 5

    Combine Chicken and Sauce

Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the mushroom sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the chicken marsala over garlic mashed potatoes or fettuccine, garnishing with fresh parsley if desired.
