Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Egg Batter
In a mixing bowl, crack the large eggs and whisk them until well beaten. Add the milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt to the eggs. Continue whisking until the mixture is completely combined and smooth.
Cooking
- 2
Heat the Pan
Place a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add the butter. Allow it to melt and coat the surface of the pan.
- 3
Dip the Toast
Take one slice of Texas toast and dip it into the egg batter, ensuring both sides are fully coated. Let any excess batter drip off.
- 4
Cook the French Toast
Carefully place the dipped Texas toast onto the heated skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining slices.
- 5
Serve
Once all slices are cooked, serve the French toast warm, drizzled with maple syrup to taste.
