Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar until well combined.

Combine Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Cooking

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently stir with a spatula or whisk until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Preheat Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a small amount of butter or cooking spray.

Cook Pancakes
Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the heated skillet. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

Serve
Serve hot with a pat of butter on top and drizzle with maple syrup.
