Tuna Kabobs

Garlic Asparagus

Steamed Rice

Method

Tuna Kabobs Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Tuna

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, honey, and lime juice. Whisk until well mixed. Cut the fresh tuna steak into 1-inch cubes and add them to the marinade. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the tuna is marinating, chop the bell peppers and red onion into similar-sized pieces (about 1 inch).

  3. 3

    Skewer the Kabobs

After marinating, thread the marinated tuna cubes, bell peppers, and red onion pieces onto skewers, alternating between the ingredients.

Garlic Asparagus Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus and trim the tough ends. Mince the garlic cloves.

  2. 5

    Cook the Asparagus

In a pan over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Add the asparagus, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the asparagus is tender yet crisp.

Steamed Rice Preparation

  1. 6

    Cook the Rice

In a pot, combine 1 cup of white rice with 2 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Fluff with a fork before serving.

Grilling the Kabobs

  1. 7

    Grill the Kabobs

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the tuna is cooked to your desired doneness.
