Prepare the Scallops
Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a good sear.

Season the Scallops
Sprinkle the scallops on both sides with salt and black pepper. Make sure they are well coated.

Mince the Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Set aside.

Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add Soy Sauce
Pour in the soy sauce and allow it to reduce slightly, about 1-2 minutes. Coat the scallops evenly.

Garnish
Finely chop the green onions and sprinkle on top of the scallops before serving.

Serve
Transfer the seared scallops to a serving platter and drizzle with the garlic soy sauce from the pan. Enjoy!
