Pork Chops

Steamed Rice

Ginger Asparagus

Method

Pork Chops

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pork Chops

Rub the pork chops with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper on both sides. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Pork Chops

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the pork chops for about 6-7 minutes per side or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Steamed Rice

  1. 3

    Cook the Rice

In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of white rice, 2 cups of water, and salt to taste. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18 minutes. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for an additional 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.

Ginger Asparagus

  1. 4

    Prepare the Asparagus

Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and place them in a steamer basket. Steam for about 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.

  2. 5

    Season with Ginger

In a small bowl, mix the grated ginger with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and salt to taste. Drizzle this mixture over the steamed asparagus before serving.

Mango Salsa

  1. 6

    Combine Salsa Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced mango, red onion, fresh cilantro, lime juice, and salt to taste. Stir gently until well mixed and let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
