Method
Salad Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Romaine Lettuce
Wash the romaine lettuce thoroughly under cold running water. Shake off excess water and chop into bite-sized pieces. Place the chopped romaine in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Cherry Tomatoes
Rinse the cherry tomatoes and slice them in half. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the bowl with the romaine lettuce.
- 3
Prepare the Red Cabbage
Remove the outer leaves of the red cabbage. Cut the cabbage into quarters, remove the core, and slice the quarters into thin strips. Add the sliced red cabbage to the salad bowl.
Ginger Dressing Preparation
- 4
Mix the Dressing
In a small mixing bowl, combine the grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and honey or maple syrup. Whisk the ingredients together until well combined.
- 5
Season the Dressing
Add salt and pepper to the dressing mixture. Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary. If you prefer a sweeter dressing, add more honey or maple syrup.
- 6
Combine Salad and Dressing
Pour the ginger dressing over the prepared salad ingredients in the large bowl. Toss gently to ensure the salad is evenly coated with the dressing.
