Method
Prepare the Sauce
- 1
- 2
Add Tomatoes
Add the San Marzano tomatoes to the saucepan, crushing them with a spoon. Stir in salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Prepare the Pizza
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to the highest setting, usually around 250°C (482°F). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
- 4
Roll Out Pizza Dough
On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a round shape, about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer to a pizza peel or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 5
Spread the Sauce
Spread a generous amount of the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- 6
Add Cheese and Toppings
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Arrange the quartered artichokes, sliced cremini mushrooms, prosciutto cotto, and black olives on top of the cheese.
Bake the Pizza
- 7
Bake
Carefully transfer the pizza to the hot oven (or onto the preheated pizza stone). Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes. Slice and serve hot.
