Method
Pizza Dough Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water and sugar. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- 2
Make Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add in the activated yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let It Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Pizza Assembly
- 5
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- 6
Shape the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and transfer it to a floured surface. Roll or stretch the dough into a 12-inch circle.
- 7
Add Sauce and Toppings
Spread the San Marzano tomato sauce evenly over the pizza base. Sprinkle crumbled goat cheese, followed by the baby spinach, sliced grilled chicken, and chopped sundried tomatoes.
- 8
Final Touches
Drizzle olive oil over the top and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 9
Bake the Pizza
Transfer the pizza to the preheated oven (or onto the pizza stone) and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
- 10
Slice and Serve
Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
