Preparation

  1. 1

    Step 1: Prepare the Seafood

In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, mussels, bay scallops, and calamari. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Step 2: Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.

Cooking the Sauce

  1. 3

    Step 3: Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 4

Step 4: Add Tomatoes and Wine

Add the crushed San Marzano tomatoes and white wine to the skillet. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

  3. 5

    Step 5: Season the Sauce

Add the chopped basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir well and let simmer for about 10 minutes.

Cooking the Seafood

  1. 6

    Step 6: Add Seafood

Gently add the prepared seafood to the sauce. Cover and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels have opened and shrimp are opaque.

Combining

  1. 7

    Step 7: Combine with Linguine

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the seafood sauce. Toss gently to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.

  2. 8

    Step 8: Serve

Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh basil if desired.
