Dressing Preparation
- 1
Make the Caesar Dressing
In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together until smooth.
- 2
Incorporate Olive Oil
Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while continuously whisking the dressing until it is emulsified and creamy. Adjust seasoning with more salt and black pepper to taste.
Crouton Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Focaccia Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut focaccia bread slices into small cubes.
- 4
Season and Bake
In a mixing bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil and garlic powder. Spread evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oven and let cool.
Salad Assembly
- 5
Combine the Salad
In a large bowl, add the chopped Romaine lettuce and pour the prepared Caesar dressing over it. Toss well to coat the lettuce evenly with the dressing.
- 6
Add Cheese and Croutons
Sprinkle the shaved Parmesan cheese and the baked focaccia croutons over the salad. Toss gently to combine.
- 7
Serve
Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese on top if desired.
