Method

Preparation of Crawfish

1

Clean the Crawfish

Rinse the live crawfish thoroughly under cold water to remove any mud and debris. Soak them in fresh water for about 10-15 minutes, then drain.

Boiling the Ingredients

2

Prepare the Boiling Pot

In a large boiling pot, add 4 gallons of water and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat.

3

Add Seasonings

Once the water is boiling, add 1 cup of crawfish boil seasoning, 1 cup of salt, halved lemons, crushed garlic, quartered onion, and bay leaves. Stir well.

4

Cook the Vegetables

Add the potatoes and corn to the pot. Boil for about 10-15 minutes until they are tender.

5

Add Sausage

Add the sliced sausage to the pot. Boil for an additional 5 minutes.

6

Cook the Crawfish

Finally, add the cleaned crawfish to the pot. Boil for 3-5 minutes until they turn bright red.

Serving

7

Drain and Serve

Turn off the heat and carefully drain the boiling pot. Spread the crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and corn on a newspaper-lined table or platter. Serve hot and enjoy!
