Chicken Marinade

Sweet & Sour Sauce

For frying

Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Chicken

In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken breasts, soy sauce, cornstarch, and egg. Mix well until the chicken is fully coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

  2. 2

    Prepare for Frying

After marinating, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Sweet & Sour Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce

In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ketchup, soy sauce, pineapple juice, and cornstarch mixed with water. Stir well and cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.

Cooking the Chicken and Vegetables

  1. 4

    Fry the Chicken

Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated chicken pieces to the skillet. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic, bell peppers, onion, and pineapple chunks. Sauté for about 3-5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.

  3. 6

    Combine Chicken and Sauce

Add the fried chicken back into the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Pour the sweet and sour sauce over the mixture and toss to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve Hot

Serve the sweet and sour chicken over steamed rice or noodles and enjoy your meal!
