Chicken Marinade

Orange Sauce

For Frying

Method

Marinating the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, cornstarch, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well to create a marinade.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Making the Orange Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine orange juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the sugar dissolves.

  2. 4

    Thicken the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Pour this mixture into the saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens. Set aside.

Frying the Chicken

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  2. 6

    Fry the Chicken

Carefully add the marinated chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  3. 7

    Combine Chicken and Sauce

In a large bowl, toss the fried chicken pieces with the prepared orange sauce until evenly coated.

  4. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Transfer the orange chicken to a serving dish, sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot.
