Method

Prepare the Filling

  1. 1

    Mix the Filling Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly blended.

Assemble the Wontons

  1. 2

    Fill the Wontons

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water using your finger.

  2. 3

    Seal the Wontons

Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal. Make sure there are no air pockets. You can also bring the two corners together to form a 'purse' shape if desired.

Fry the Wontons

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

  2. 5

    Fry the Wontons

Carefully add the wontons to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until they turn golden brown and crispy.

  3. 6

    Drain and Serve

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried wontons from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
