Wontons

Method

Wontons Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, ground beef, shrimp, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

  2. 2

    Fill the Wontons

Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal. Repeat until all filling is used.

Soup Base Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Broth

In a large pot, combine chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Add Vegetables and Seasoning

Once boiling, add soy sauce, chopped green onions, sliced mushrooms, and sliced carrots. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Let simmer for 10 minutes.

Cooking the Wontons

  1. 5

    Cook the Wontons

Carefully drop the filled wontons into the simmering broth. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the wontons float to the surface and are cooked through.

Serving

Ladle the soup into bowls, ensuring to include wontons and vegetables. Drizzle with sesame oil and garnish with fresh cilantro. Enjoy your Combination Wonton Soup!
