Method

Prep Noodles

  1. 1

    Cook Noodles

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lo-mein noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Prepare Chicken

  1. 2

    Cook Chicken

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken breast and stir-fry for 5-6 minutes until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Cook Vegetables

  1. 3

    Stir-fry Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of sesame oil. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the bell pepper, carrot, and broccoli to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Combine Ingredients

  1. 4

    Mix Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, chicken broth, cornstarch, and sugar until smooth.

  2. 5

    Combine Everything

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the stir-fried vegetables. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables. Add the cooked lo-mein noodles and toss everything together until well combined and heated through, about 2-3 minutes.

Serve

  1. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, sprinkle with sliced green onions, and serve hot. Enjoy your homemade chicken lo-mein!
