Prepare the Pork
In a large pot, add the pork shoulder, chicken broth, diced onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, and oregano. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Simmer
Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover. Simmer for about 2 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

Add Hominy
If using dried hominy, soak it overnight and add it to the pot during the last 30 minutes of cooking. If using canned hominy, drain and rinse, then add it during the last 10 minutes of cooking.

Serve
Ladle the pozole into bowls and serve hot with toppings of diced onions, radish, chopped lettuce, cilantro, lime wedges, and tostadas on the side.
