Prepare the Glass
Chill a martini or coupe glass by filling it with ice water. Set aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine the Knob Creek Rye, sweet vermouth, and Angostura bitters. If making the Nero Manhattan, substitute the sweet vermouth with Amaro Averna.

Stir
Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Add a fancy cherry on top for garnish.
