Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the radiatore pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the meat

In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until the onion is translucent. Stir in the ground beef, pork, and veal, cooking until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  3. 3

    Make the sauce

Add the Italian plum tomatoes to the meat mixture, breaking them up with a spoon. Stir in oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for approximately 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 4

    Combine

Once the sauce has thickened, add the cooked radiatore pasta to the sauce and toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well-coated.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and additional herbs if desired.
