Prepare the Glass
Fill an old-fashioned glass with ice to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass, combine the elderberry syrup, Four Roses Bourbon, Averna Amaro, and cardamom bitters.

Stir
Add ice to the mixing glass and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Serve
Empty the ice from the prepared old-fashioned glass and strain the mixture into the glass.

Garnish
Twist the orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
