Brioche French Toast
Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Mixed Berry Syrup
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine mixed berries and maple syrup. Cook until the berries break down and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In a skillet, cook the applewood smoked bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.
- 3
Make the French Toast Batter
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- 4
Cook the French Toast
Preheat a skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Dip each slice of brioche bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides, and then place in the skillet. Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Repeat with remaining bread, adding more butter as needed.
- 5
Serve
Serve the French toast hot, topped with mixed berry syrup, a dusting of powdered sugar, and crispy bacon on the side.
