Sweetening and Serving

Method

Brew the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea Leaves

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves. Allow the tea to steep for about 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a heatproof container. Discard the tea leaves.

  4. 4

    Sweeten the Tea

While the tea is still warm, stir in 2 tablespoons of sugar until fully dissolved. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature.

Prepare the Drink

  1. 5

    Add Ice

Fill a tall glass with 1 cup of ice cubes.

  2. 6

    Combine Tea and Milk

Pour the cooled Thai tea over the ice in the glass. Add 4 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk and stir well to combine.

  3. 7

    Optional Evaporated Milk

For a creamier texture, drizzle 2 tablespoons of evaporated milk on top and stir gently.

  4. 8

    Serve

Serve immediately with a straw, and enjoy your refreshing Thai iced tea!
