Gaprow Spare Ribs

Slice the bell peppers, mushrooms, and onion. Mince the garlic and wash the basil leaves.

Prepare the Ingredients

In a large pan or wok, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat.

Heat the Oil

Add the minced chicken or pork to the pan. Stir-fry until cooked through, about 4-5 minutes.

Cook the Meat

Add the sliced onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms to the pan. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.

Add Vegetables

Stir in the minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili paste, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add Seasoning

Remove the pan from heat and fold in the fresh basil leaves. Mix well.

Begin by pressing the soft tofu to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into cubes and set aside. Prepare all the vegetables by slicing, dicing, or chopping as necessary.

Prep the Ingredients

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and ginger, sautéing for about 2 minutes until fragrant. Add the mushrooms, bell pepper, and baby corn, cooking for an additional 3 minutes.

Sauté the Vegetables

Gently add the tofu cubes to the skillet. Pour in the sweet and sour tamarind sauce (store-bought or homemade) and stir everything together. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to coat the tofu and vegetables.

Add the Tofu and Sauce

Add the diced pineapple, snow peas, and green peas. Stir gently and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the peas are tender but still bright green.

Finish with Pineapple and Snow Peas

Finally, sprinkle the chopped scallions over the dish and serve hot, either on its own or with steamed rice.
