Preparation
- 1
Cook the Chicken
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken breasts for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked. Season with salt and black pepper. Let it cool before dicing.
- 2
Cook the Bacon
In the same skillet, cook the bacon until crispy, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3
Prepare the Vegetables
Wash the romaine lettuce and pat dry. Slice the tomato into thin rounds.
- 4
Prepare the Bread
Toast the sourdough bread slices until golden brown.
Assembly
- 5
Layer the Ingredients
On one slice of toasted sourdough, spread a layer of mayonnaise and mustard. Add a layer of diced chicken, followed by a layer of diced ham, a few slices of bacon, and a handful of romaine lettuce. Top with tomato slices.
- 6
Finish the Sandwich
Add another slice of sourdough on top, then repeat the layering process to create a second layer with the remaining ingredients. Finally, place the last slice of sourdough on top.
- 7
Slice and Serve
Using a sharp knife, cut the sandwich into quarters or halves, depending on your preference. Serve immediately with a side of chips or salad.
