Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cream Butter and Sugar
In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the dry mixture.

Bake the Cake
Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Stir in the egg yolk and cold water until the dough comes together.

On a floured surface, roll out the dough to fit your tart pan.

Place the rolled-out dough in the tart pan and bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.

Once cooled, arrange fresh fruit on top of the crust and sprinkle with sugar.
