Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm milk (around 110°F) with the active dry yeast and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Add the activated yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until the dough starts to form.

  4. 4

    Knead Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

    First Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Filling Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare Filling

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar and ground cinnamon.

  2. 7

    Prepare Butter

Melt the butter for the filling and set aside.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Roll Out Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 16x12 inches).

  2. 9

    Add Filling

Brush the rolled-out dough with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the top.

  3. 10

    Roll and Cut

Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces.

  4. 11

    Second Rise

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.

Baking

  1. 12

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 13

    Bake Rolls

Bake the rolls for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Icing Preparation

  1. 14

    Mix Icing

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Serving

  1. 15

    Serve Rolls

Once the rolls are baked, remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls before serving.
