Burrito Preparation Instructions
- 1
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- 2
Add Seasoning
Stir in the taco seasoning and a splash of water (about 1/4 cup). Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the mixture is well combined and heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 3
Warm the Refried Beans
In a small saucepan, heat the refried beans over medium-low heat until warm, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.
- 4
Prepare the Tortillas
If desired, warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds to make them more pliable.
- 5
Assemble the Burritos
Lay a warm tortilla on a flat surface. Spread a layer of refried beans, followed by a generous portion of the seasoned ground beef. Top with shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomato, avocado slices, and a dollop of sour cream.
- 6
Roll the Burrito
Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it tightly from the bottom up to enclose the filling. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- 7
Serve
Cut the burritos in half if desired, and serve immediately with extra sour cream or salsa on the side.
