Omelette Ingredients

Method

Omelette Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel to drain excess fat.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Eggs

In a bowl, crack the 3 large eggs. Add 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Whisk the mixture until well combined and slightly frothy.

  3. 3

    Chop the Tomato

Dice the medium tomato into small pieces. Set aside for later use.

  4. 4

    Cook the Omelette

In the same skillet used for the bacon, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-low heat. Once melted, pour in the egg mixture and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes until the edges start to set.

  5. 5

    Add the Fillings

Once the edges of the omelette are set, sprinkle the diced tomato, crumbled bacon, and 1 cup of cheddar jack cheese evenly over one half of the omelette.

  6. 6

    Fold and Finish Cooking

Carefully fold the other half of the omelette over the fillings. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the eggs are fully cooked.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slide the omelette onto a plate and cut it in half if desired. Serve warm and enjoy your Bacon, Tomato & Cheddar Jack Omelette!
