Chicken Wings
Blue Cheese Dressing
Method
Preparing the Chicken Wings
- 1
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and paprika. Toss until the wings are evenly coated with the spice mixture.
- 2
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
- 3
Arrange the Wings
Place the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack. This helps them cook evenly and get crispy.
- 4
Bake the Wings
Bake the chicken wings in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are crispy and cooked through.
- 5
Prepare the Sauce
While the wings are baking, combine hot sauce and melted butter in a small bowl. Adjust the amount of hot sauce to taste.
- 6
Toss in Sauce
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and toss them in the hot sauce mixture until well coated.
Making the Blue Cheese Dressing
- 7
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, crumble the blue cheese and add sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
- 8
Mix the Dressing
Using a whisk or a fork, mix the ingredients together until well combined and smooth, leaving some chunks of blue cheese for texture.
- 9
Chill the Dressing
Cover the dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
