Burger Ingredients

Sautéed Onions

Cheese

Method

Prepare the Onions

1

Sauté the Onions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Slice the onion into thin rings and add it to the skillet. Sauté for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and golden brown.

Cook the Burger

2

Form and Cook the Patty

In a bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into a patty. In the same skillet used for the onions, increase the heat to medium-high and add the beef patty. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patty and place the sautéed onions on top. Add Swiss cheese on top of the onions.

3

Melt the Cheese

Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

4

Build the Burger

Toast the burger bun lightly if desired. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese and sautéed onions on the bottom half of the bun. Top with the other half of the bun.
