Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Peppers

Wash the sweet bell peppers thoroughly, then cut them into strips or bite-sized pieces, discarding the seeds and stems.

  2. 2

    Make the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, chopped basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine and Marinate

In a large bowl or jar, add the cut peppers and pour the marinade over them. Toss or stir gently to ensure all pieces are coated in the marinade.

  4. 4

    Refrigerate

Cover the bowl or jar with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once marinated, serve the sweet peppers as a delicious appetizer, side dish, or topping for salads and sandwiches.
