Preparation
Combine Base Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the coconut milk, almond milk, agave syrup, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk together until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
Add Flavor Add-ins
If desired, add any of the optional flavor add-ins such as cocoa powder for chocolate flavor, peanut butter for a nutty taste, or chopped fruits/nuts for added texture and flavor. Stir well to incorporate.
Churning and Freezing
Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours, or until it is thoroughly chilled.
Churn in Ice Cream Maker
Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically for about 20-30 minutes, or until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
Freeze the Ice Cream
Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container. Freeze for at least 4-6 hours, or until firm.
