Method

Prepare the Coffee Mixture

  1. 1

    Brew the Coffee

Brew 300 ml of strong coffee or espresso and let it cool to room temperature.

  2. 2

    Combine Coffee and Liqueur

If using, mix in 50 ml of coffee liqueur into the cooled coffee and set aside.

Make the Mascarpone Mixture

  1. 3

    Separate the Eggs

Carefully separate the egg yolks from the whites. Place the yolks in a mixing bowl and the whites in a separate bowl.

  2. 4

Whip the Egg Yolks and Sugar

Add 100 grams of granulated sugar to the egg yolks and whisk until the mixture is pale and creamy.

  3. 5

    Incorporate Mascarpone

Gently fold in 500 grams of mascarpone cheese into the egg yolk mixture until smooth.

  4. 6

    Whip the Egg Whites

Using a mixer, beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.

  5. 7

    Combine Mixtures

Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the mascarpone mixture to add volume.

  6. 8

    Add Whipped Cream

In another bowl, whip 250 ml of heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold it into the mascarpone mixture.

Assemble the Tiramisu

  1. 9

    Dip Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger cookie into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

  2. 10

    Layer the Base

Place a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish or individual glasses.

  3. 11

    Add Mascarpone Mixture

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers.

  4. 12

    Repeat Layers

Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

  5. 13

    Chill

Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.

Serve the Tiramisu

  1. 14

    Dust with Cocoa

Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with 30 grams of cocoa powder.

  2. 15

    Add Chocolate Shavings

If desired, sprinkle dark chocolate shavings over the cocoa powder for garnish.

  3. 16

    Slice and Serve

Cut the tiramisu into squares or serve in individual glasses, and enjoy your delicious coffee-flavored dessert!
