Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steaks with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat (about 450°F to 500°F).

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Brush the grill grates with olive oil to prevent sticking. Place the seasoned steaks on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting time for your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked to your liking, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

  2. 6

    Soak the Potatoes

Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  3. 7

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C) over medium-high heat.

  4. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and dry the soaked potatoes thoroughly. Fry them in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

  5. 9

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle them with salt to taste.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 10

    Make the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, and lemon juice. Mix well until fully combined.

  2. 11

    Serve

Serve the grilled steak topped with a dollop of garlic butter alongside the crispy fries.
