Shrimp and Sauce Preparation

Prepare the ingredients
Peel and devein the shrimp. Mince the garlic, chop the scallions (white and green parts separated), and dice the red bell pepper. Set aside.

Cook the okra
In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add the okra and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender and slightly crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the shrimp
In the same skillet, add the remaining butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Lou Lou dust. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until shrimp turn pink and opaque. Stir in the diced red bell pepper and scallion whites. Cook for an additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the sautéed okra.

Add cheese
Once the grits are cooked, remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Season with pepper to taste.
