Main Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Salmon

1

Season the Salmon

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

2

Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

3

Sear the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, until the skin is crispy. Carefully flip the fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Making the Lemon Butter Sauce

4

Melt the Butter

In the same skillet used for the salmon, reduce the heat to medium. Add the unsalted butter and let it melt.

5

Add Garlic

Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.

6

Add Lemon Juice and Zest

Stir in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest. Cook for another minute, mixing well.

7

Finish with Parsley

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.

Serving the Dish

8

Plate the Salmon

Transfer the seared salmon fillets to serving plates.

9

Drizzle with Sauce

Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the salmon fillets.

10

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with additional parsley if desired and serve immediately.
