Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Mix until combined and then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Pizza Assembly

  1. 5

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) to ensure it is hot enough for baking the pizza.

  2. 6

    Shape Dough

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to your desired thickness and shape.

  3. 7

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Transfer the rolled dough onto a pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the surface and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.

  4. 8

    Add Toppings

Add your choice of toppings (pepperoni, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, green pepper, onion) evenly over the cheese.

  5. 9

    Bake Pizza

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. 10

    Slice and Serve

Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
