Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.

  3. 3

    Knead Dough

Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  4. 4

    Let Dough Rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 5

    Combine Sauce Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Assemble Pizza

  1. 6

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. 7

    Shape Dough

After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface to fit your 14-inch pizza pan.

  3. 8

    Add Sauce

Spread the prepared tomato sauce evenly over the dough.

  4. 9

    Add Cheese and Toppings

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then layer with pepperoni, crumbled bacon, cooked sausage, sliced mushrooms, onions, and green peppers.

  5. 10

    Bake Pizza

Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

  6. 11

    Cool and Serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
