Dough Preparation

Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

Make Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and salt. Add the frothy yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Let it Rise
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Melt Butter
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and dried parsley. Stir and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat.
Assemble and Bake

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

Shape the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangular shape.

Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the garlic buttered dough.

Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into sticks (about 1 inch wide).

Place the garlic cheese sticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
