Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix the Crust Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly coated.

  3. 3

Press the Crust into the Pan

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer.

  4. 4

    Bake the Crust

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 5

    Beat the Cream Cheese

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.

  2. 6

    Add Sugar and Sour Cream

Gradually add the granulated sugar and sour cream, mixing until well combined.

  3. 7

    Incorporate Vanilla and Eggs

Add the vanilla extract and then beat in the eggs one at a time, making sure each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next.

  4. 8

    Add Flour

Finally, add the flour and mix just until combined. Avoid overmixing.

  5. 9

    Pour Filling into Crust

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.

  6. 10

    Bake the Cheesecake

Bake in the oven for 50 to 60 minutes, until the edges are set and the center has a slight jiggle.

  7. 11

    Cool and Chill

Turn off the oven and crack the door open. Let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight before serving.
