Preparation of Bread

Slice the Baguette
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices diagonally.

Brush with Olive Oil
Lay the sliced baguette on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.

Toast the Bread
Place the baking sheet in the oven and toast the bread for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Flip halfway through for even toasting.

Chop the Tomatoes
While the bread is toasting, wash and chop the tomatoes into small dice.

Prepare the Basil
Wash the basil leaves and chop them roughly.

Mince the Garlic
Peel and mince the garlic cloves.

Combine Topping Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped basil, and minced garlic. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well.

Top the Toast
Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously onto each slice of toasted bread.

Drizzle balsamic glaze over the topped bruschetta for added flavor.
