Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee
Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool to room temperature. Add dark rum or coffee liqueur to the coffee.
- 2
Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar together until the mixture is pale and creamy. Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 3
Soak the Ladyfingers
Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for about 1-2 seconds to soak, then layer them in a rectangular dish in a single layer.
- 4
Layer the Dessert
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the soaked ladyfingers. Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 5
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.
