Bruschetta Ingredients

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Dice the heirloom tomatoes and place them in a bowl. Add salt and pepper to taste, and toss gently.

  2. 2

    Add Basil and Olive Oil

Chop fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes. Drizzle in the extra virgin olive oil and mix well.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1-inch thick slices. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat.

  4. 4

    Grill the Baguette

Lightly brush each side of the baguette slices with olive oil. Grill them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the bread is toasted.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Garlic

While the baguette is grilling, peel the garlic cloves and cut them in half. Once the bread is done, rub the cut side of the garlic on the hot grilled bread for flavor.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Bruschetta

Top each grilled baguette slice with the tomato and basil mixture. Drizzle a bit more olive oil on top if desired.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve immediately while the bread is warm, and enjoy your Bruschetta Pomodoro!
