Fish Preparation

Prepare the Catfish
Rinse the farm-raised catfish fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut the fillets into thin strips, approximately 1 inch wide.
- 2
Breading
- 3
Prepare the Breading Station
In a shallow dish, add the corn flour (cornmeal). In another bowl, beat the eggs with the milk until well combined.
- 4
Frying
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Catfish
Carefully add the breaded catfish strips to the hot oil, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried catfish and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
