Method

Preparing the Fish

  1. 1

    Season the Fish

Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Heat the Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  3. 3

    Sauté the Fish

Add the fish fillets to the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the fish from the skillet and set aside on a warm plate.

Making the Almond Topping

  1. 4

    Toast the Almonds

In the same skillet over medium heat, add the sliced almonds. Toast them for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until they are golden brown. Be careful not to burn them.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Lemon Butter Sauce

Reduce the heat to low and add the unsalted butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Finish the Sauce

Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley. Mix well to combine and remove from heat.

Combining the Dish

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Place the sautéed fish on serving plates and generously spoon the lemon butter sauce with toasted almonds over the top.

  2. 8

    Serve

Garnish with additional parsley if desired and serve immediately.
