Method
Steak Preparation
- 1
- 2
Let it Rest
Allow the seasoned steaks to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly.
Cooking the Steak
- 3
- 4
Cook the Steak
Once the pan is hot, add the ribeye steaks. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on the first side without moving them to develop a nice crust.
- 5
Flip the Steak
Using tongs, flip the steaks to the other side and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time depending on desired doneness.
- 6
Prepare Butter Baste
While the steak cooks, add the unsalted butter and garlic cloves to the pan. As the butter melts, use a spoon to baste the melted butter over the steaks repeatedly.
- 7
Add Fresh Herbs
During the last minute of cooking, add the fresh rosemary sprigs to the pan for flavor.
Resting and Serving
- 8
Let it Rest
Once cooked, remove the steaks from the pan and let them rest on a cutting board for at least 5-10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
- 9
Serve
Slice the ribeye against the grain and serve immediately. Enjoy your perfectly cooked ribeye steak!
