Tea Preparation

Boil Water
In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 2 tablespoons of loose leaf black tea. Cover the pot and let it steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

Strain Tea
After steeping, use a fine mesh strainer to strain the tea into a heatproof pitcher. Discard the used tea leaves.
Flavoring the Tea

If desired, add 1 tablespoon of fresh mint leaves, 4 slices of lemon, and 2 tablespoons of honey or sugar to the hot tea. Stir well until the sweetener is dissolved.
Cooling and Serving

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled.

In each glass, place 1 cup of ice cubes. Optionally, add fresh fruit if desired.
