Steak Marinade

Method

Marinating the Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

Place the flank steak in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the steak. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Grilling the Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Remove the steak from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Place the steak on the hot grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the desired doneness is reached. Use a meat thermometer for precision: 130°F for medium-rare.

  3. 5

    Rest the Steak

Once cooked, remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Assembling the Wrap

  1. 6

    Slice the Steak

After resting, slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.

  2. 7

    Prepare the Wraps

Lay a whole wheat tortilla flat on a clean surface. Layer with fresh spinach, sliced tomato, red onion, avocado, and crumbled feta cheese.

  3. 8

    Add the Steak

Add a generous amount of the sliced steak on top of the other ingredients.

  4. 9

    Wrap It Up

Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up from the bottom to the top, securing all the fillings inside.

  5. 10

    Repeat

Repeat the process for the remaining tortillas and filling ingredients.
